In a secret location nestled in the heart of South Staffordshire, a creative team brought to life an elopement photoshoot inspired by the nostalgic magic of Stranger Things. Captured by
Claire Evans of Winter Peach Photography, this styled shoot drew upon the retro charm of the 1980s, blending it seamlessly with a woodland setting that felt as if it was plucked right out of the mysterious town of Hawkins.
The vision was to create something with a truly cinematic feel, a nod to both the 80s and the supernatural flair of the hit TV series. Inspired by the whimsical idea of a woodland elopement, and with a garden gate leading into the enchanting woods, the location provided the perfect backdrop for a magical and memorable celebration. The bridal look, styled by Scarlet-Tayla in Tamworth, paid homage to Madonna's wedding to Sean Penn, featuring a vintage lace gown that perfectly balanced glamour and edge. The look was completed with a handcrafted veil from Becci's Bridal Designs, and exquisite jewellery by Charlotte Berry Jewellery, adding a touch of elegance to the retro aesthetic.
Hair was styled by Elegance Hair Design in Shropshire, with Selina Bhatti, a Shropshire Bridal Makeup Artist, ensuring the bride looked effortlessly beautiful while maintaining the iconic 80s flair. Celebrant Andrea Felix brought a heartfelt authenticity to the shoot, while flowers from Bunch Floral Design added bursts of colour, creating a romantic, whimsical atmosphere in the midst of the lush woodland.
To further enhance the theme, the team incorporated vintage furniture from Hint of Vintage Hire, creating a charming setting that blended seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Models Chloe Eloise Williams and Tum Duckworth embodied the spirit of the shoot, bringing the 80s-inspired vision to life with their charisma and chemistry.
This unique photoshoot is a celebration of creativity and nostalgia, proving that with a bit of imagination and some vintage pieces, a beautifully unique wedding can be crafted.
Whether you're a fan of Stranger Things, the 1980s, or simply the idea of a non-traditional, intimate celebration, this shoot is a perfect reminder that a wedding can be anything you want it to be—a beautiful reflection of your story and style.
